Revolving Loan Fund Program

Bellevue Local Job Creation Tax Credit

The City of Bellevue is adopting an ordinance that will allow new or existing businesses that will be creating 25 jobs or more and opportunity to receive a 50% tax rebate on the personal income tax paid via these newly created jobs.  In order to receive this income tax rebate, the business must be the recipient of a Job Creation Tax Credit (JCTC) issued by the State of Ohio.

The Bellevue City Council may grant a tax credit that exceeds 50%, if extenuating circumstances exist, and the spirit of the program is satisfied.  “Extenuating circumstances” may include, but are not limited to: a plausible threat that an existing company will relocate out of the City of Bellevue in the absence of this incentive; prolonged, adverse national economic conditions; the creation of more than 50 new positions.  The term of the tax credit may be up to a maximum of ten years, but in no case will the term of the Bellevue JCTC exceed that offered through the State of Ohio JCTC.
