Terra State Community College Kern Center for Workforce Development and Corporate Partnerships designs and delivers customized training for companies, offers public workshops in health care, industrial maintenance and computers, and is an approved provider of computer and industrial certifications.
WSOS Community Action is a private, nonprofit Community Action Agency. The core funding for CAAs comes from the Community Services Block Grant (CSBG), which was created in 1981 by the Omnibus Reconciliation Act. CSBG funding provides less than eight percent (8%) of total CA funding. WSOS is one of 52 CAAs in Ohio and one of about 1,000 CAAs nationwide. WSOS provides services to income-eligible individuals and families of all ages.

OhioMeansJobs – Sandusky County – Job Seeker services are available to the universal customer, who is anyone coming to an OhioMeansJobs Center seeking assistance. These services are informational services and may require limited to no assistance for OhioMeansJobs Center staff. Career Services– The OhioMeansJobs Center provides resources such as computers with internet access; dvd’s; job listings; area maps; various workshops dealing with interview tips, resume writing, etc.; copy and fax machines; telephones; and more to job seekers of any age and/or walk of life. Individual Services- Individual Services are provided to those job seekers who are unable to find work in Career Services. Some examples of Individual Services are as follows: In-depth assessments, development of an Individual Employability Plan, Pre-vocational services and counseling and career assistance. Training Services- Training Services allow those who are unable to find employment thru Career or Individual Services to enter into a training program to obtain necessary skills to start a new career.
