Established in 1991, Leadership Sandusky County (LSC) has been pivotal in nurturing over 500 community leaders who have significantly impacted the region through their dedicated service and leadership roles across numerous organizations. As a 501(c)(3) organization, LSC’s mission is to cultivate a learning environment that fosters effective community leadership, striving to engage leaders from all walks of life to tackle community challenges.

JOIN THE LSC CLASS OF 2027

Leadership Sandusky County is a 9‑month leadership development program for professionals who live or work in Sandusky County. Through monthly, day‑long sessions, participants build practical leadership skills, expand their professional networks, and gain a deeper understanding of the people, organizations, and industries that shape our community.

The program is ideal for employers who want to grow strong, community‑minded leaders within their organizations. Sponsoring a participant helps your team member:

  • Strengthen core leadership and communication skills
  • Build relationships with peers across sectors
  • Learn how to more effectively contribute to both your organization and Sandusky County as a whole

We invite companies to sponsor participants or encourage promising team members to apply for the Leadership Sandusky County Class of 2027. This is a powerful way to invest in your people and our community’s future.

PROGRAM DETAILS

Want to learn more about the LSC Class of 2027? Below are some of the most important program details:

  • Classes for our 2026 program are held once a month on the second Wednesday (unless it is otherwise noted).
  • The program kicks off in September of 2026 and ends in May of 2027.
  • Participants must commit to attending these sessions to be eligible for graduation. Up to two excused absences may be permitted with approval from their employer/sponsoring company.

To apply, candidates must:

  • Complete the online application
  • Submit a resume
  • Include one letter of recommendation

Tuition:

  • $850 for Non-SCEDC Investors
  • $725 for SCEDC Investors
  • One $400 scholarship is available for an applicant employed by a nonprofit organization within Sandusky County.

Applications for the Class of 2026 are open until July 31st.

Classes take place from 9:00 AM to approximately 4:00 PM on the following dates:

  • April 14, 2027
  • May 12, 2027

*Note that the November 4th class is not on the typical second Wednesday and is actually on the first Wednesday of the month.
